Gemeente Langedijk (NL)
Short Description
Langedijk is a municipality in the the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia. It consists of the following cities, towns, villages and/or districts: Broek op Langedijk, Koedijk (partly), Noord-Scharwoude, Oudkarspel, Sint Pancras, Zuid-Scharwoude and has a population of 26,000.
In’ Canal Link’ a Navigability Masterplan to was created which looked at ways to increase, improve and manage boat traffic in the area. In the 'Waterways for Growth' project Langedijk want to consider ways to adopt this plan whilst balancing development with other pressures such as speeding boats, pollution and ecological impacts.
